Gutteridge Wood

Gutteridge Wood is a 25-hectare local nature reserve located in Yeading in the London Borough of Hillingdon. It is a magnificent wildlife haven where you can discover birds such as kestrels, woodpeckers and kingfishers as well as other creatures like bees, butterflies, beetles, moths, small mammals like voles, mice and bats. Enjoy a lovely walk among the beautiful woodland and wildflower meadows. Best time to visit April to July, September to November.

Children & Family activities

Although there aren't any traditional playgrounds, this nature reserve can provide a wonderful sensory experience for families and children. Take your camera and take stunning photos or go bike riding along the pathways. You can also bring your dogs on a walk and have your own activities such as sitting in a nice spot and doing some drawings of the surroundings. Children would especially love to get creative and make some art that they can remember!

Food & Drink

There are no cafes or restaurants within the woods, however you can bring your own snacks and packed lunches and have a lovely family picnic surrounded by the magnificent wildlife and nature.

Getting there

You can get to the park by public transport and visit the TFL (Transport for London) website to plan your journey easily, knowing which bus or train to take at which times. The address is Lynhurst Crescent, North Hillingdon, Hillingdon, UB10 9EQ, which you can use to help you to get there using a map or GPS device. There is street parking available in Lynhurst Crescent.
