Crane Park Island
Crane Park Island is a beautiful 2-hectare nature reserve located in Twickenham in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. There is lots of lovely woodland, scrub and reedbed as well as fascinating wildlife to see such as dragonflies, frogs, herons, toads, foxes and newts! Take a peaceful stroll among the trees and nature or take your dog for a walk in the fresh air. Best time to visit April to August.
Children & Family activities
Enjoy the nature trail while the children have fun with a couple of different activities. They can act like detectives and complete this quiz and see how much they have learnt at the end of the trail. Kids can also use this template to take rubbings of the brass posts on their journey through the reserve so that they have something to remember their experience by.
There are also a number of different activities at Crane Park Island throughout the year that families can enjoy and take part in such as river dipping, pond dipping and minibeast hunting.
Food & Drink
There are no cafes or restaurants within the woods, however you can bring your own snacks and packed lunches and have a lovely family picnic surrounded by the magnificent wildlife and nature.
