The Centre for Wildlife Gardening is an astonishing 0.22-hectare wildlife haven located in Peckham in south London. There is a garden with a range of habitats including a chalk bank, a beautiful wildflower meadow, insect hotels, a bog garden and a roof garden. This centre aims to inspire people of all ages to learn about the world of nature.

Children & Family activities

There's plenty of things for children and families to see including a couple of ponds with frogs, newts and dragonflies. Also explore the wonderful beetles, foxes, song birds and grasshoppers! A truly magical experience for the younger ones.

The Nature Tots Forest School at this centre is a programme for children from age 18 months to 5 years to connect with nature through a variety of outdoor activities. Children can go on an adventure with their parents discovering the fascinating wildlife and engage in fun activities such as mini-beast hunting, pond dipping, cooking, storytelling and many more.

Food & Drink

There are no cafes or restaurants at this centre, however there is a designated picnic area so bring your own snacks and packed lunches and have a lovely family picnic surrounded by the magnificent wildlife and nature.

Getting there

You can get to the park by public transport and visit the TFL (Transport for London) website to plan your journey easily, knowing which bus or train to take at which times. The address is 28 Marsden Road, London, SE15 4EE, which you can use to help you to get there using a map or GPS device.
There is free street parking on Marsden Road and some surrounding roads however there is no guarantee of a space available so it is advised to take public transport.
