Brockwell Park

Brockwell Park is a 50-hectare historic park located between Brixton, Dulwich and Herne Hill in the London Borough of Lambeth. It has a beautiful skyline of the city and of Central London which attracts many tourists every year. The park is home to lovely ornamental ponds, formal flower beds, a flower garden and a 19th century clock tower. There are events held there regularly such as circuses, concerts and festivals.

Playgrounds

The adventure playground has lots to do for children of all ages. There are wooden climbing frames and slides sectioned for specific ages. The younger children can enjoy climbing on the smaller bridges, explore the playhouse and the ship which is great for toddlers. There is a climbing wall, a see-saw, swing and larger slide and a zip-wire for the older kids!

There's also a Wet Play Area with a seasonal paddling pool that opens during the summer season and a huge sandpit open throughout the year where children can make sandcastles and have lots of fun with so make sure to bring spades and buckets with you!

If you and your children want to go on a journey from Herne Hill hate to Brockwell Lido and back again, there is a 7.25-inch gauge miniature railway that is open between April and October every Sunday 11am-4pm. The park has 6 concrete tennis courts and 1 court for volleyball and basketball, perfect for families and friends who want to play sports together! For bookings, call 0845 130 8998.

Food & Drink

Brockwell Park has lots of green grassy space so it can be nice to enjoy a picnic in the wonderful surroundings and bring snacks or packed lunches with you! The Brockwell Park Cafe is open every day including bank holidays. It is located in the Hall and it offers a range of homemade cold and hot foods, snacks, drinks, treats like cakes and ice-cream. There are benches outside to enjoy the view at the same time. The Lido Cafe, located in the Lido is also open every day and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner- a variety of delicious foods.

Accessible toilets and baby changing facilities available.

Getting there

You can get to the park by public transport and visit the TFL (Transport for London) website to plan your journey easily, knowing which bus or train to take at which times. The postcode is SE24 9BJ which you can use to help you to get there using a map or GPS device. There is a car park available in the park, however it's limited. There's pay and display parking spaces close to the park.
