National Gallery

The National Gallery is a European Art Museum founded in 1824 and is located in Trafalgar Square, Central London. It houses a collection of more than 2,300 of the greatest paintings in the world from the 13th century to the 19th century. There are beautiful masterpieces by famous artists like Van Gogh, Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli and many more. National Gallery aims to inspire the future generations and educate and encourage them and to provide a memorable experience. Entry to the gallery is free of charge and is open 361 days a year.

Kids/Family activities

The National Gallery is family friendly with free guided tours and offers a range of activities for young children especially during the holidays, such as a children's trail and crafty workshops that will keep them entertained. On Sundays, there is a special 'Magic Carpet Storytelling' session for families who have children under age 5. It is open from 10.30am-11am and 11.30am-12pm and you can book a place at reception up to an hour before the starting time. Furthermore, there is another Drawing and Studio workshop for children age 5 to 11.

Food/Drink

The National Dining Rooms in the gallery has stunning views of Trafalgar Square. Enjoy a family-friendly menu that includes brunch, light foods, a hot drink or treats like cakes and many more options.
The National Cafe located offers lovely afternoon-teas, breakfasts and exhibition-inspired set menus. Relax at The Espresso Bar and have a cup of coffee with delicious treats like cakes, pastries or light snacks like sandwiches.

There are designated parking bays on St Martin's Street (call 020 7823 4567 for more info). There are also public car parks available close to the Gallery in Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square.
