Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park

Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park is an 11-hectare wildlife haven situated along the River Thames in South London. Explore the park and discover the wonderful creatures such as frogs, dragonflies, butterflies, birds and beautiful wildflowers. The park is home to freshwater lakes, a small woodland and bird hides. There's plenty of things to do for children and families including a variety of events and activities throughout the year.

Children & Family activities

There's so many things to do for families every year such as pong dipping, mini-beast hunting, quiz trails and mini activities for kids like colouring sheets and toy binoculars which are available at the Gatehouse. The two bird viewing huts are perfect for bird spotting as well as looking at the lakes and seeing what other wildlife you can spot! There are also lots of activities during the school holidays and special family events with food and stalls that include Frog Day which is in March, Wild Day Out held in June and Winter Fayre which is held in December.

Food & Drink

You can bring your own snacks and packed lunches and have a lovely family picnic in the garden surrounded by the wildlife and nature.

You can get to the park by public transport and visit the TFL (Transport for London) website to plan your journey easily, knowing which bus or train to take at which times.
