Golders Hill Park

Golders Hill Park is located in Golders Green, London and was first opened to the public in 1898. Its landscaped grounds contain beautifully designed flower and water gardens, a bandstand, a duck pond and an area for fallow deer. There are tennis courts, tennis tables, a children's playground and croquet lawns. The Zoo and Butterfly House are a couple of it's main attractions, perfect for animal lovers. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash.

Playgrounds

There is an adventure playground with fun features such as slides, climbing frames, ropes and swings. There is also a huge sandpit and playground equipment for children of all ages. Golders Hill Park Zoo is home to a variety of exotic birds and wildlife animals such as ring- tailed lemurs, donkeys, owls, laughing kookaburras and many others. Children will love seeing these interesting animals and the entry to the zoo is free. The Butterfly House is also home to many beautiful coloured butterflies to explore that children will find fascinating.

Food and Drink

Bring your own food and packed lunches from home and have a picnic in the park. Golders Hill Park Refreshment House also offers a variety of foods including sandwiches, salads, hot and cold drinks as well as delicious homemade ice cream. There is indoor and outdoor seating and highchairs are available.

7.30am to dusk.

Getting there

You can get to the park by public transport and visit the TFL (Transport for London) website to plan your journey easily, knowing which bus or train to take at which times. The postcode is NW3 7HE which you can use to help you to get there using a map or GPS device. Golders Hill Park has a car park however it is only available for disabled people. There is parking available at Jack Straw's car park, Heath Brow,NW3 7ES.
