Science Museum

The Science Museum, based in South Kensington and founded in 1857 is one of London's major tourist attractions. It has pioneered interactive science interpretation of many interesting things such as the evolution of human life, human remains, space and the general evolution of science and technology. There are more than 15,000 objects displayed at the museum such as the simulated Apollo 10 command capsule. There's plenty to do!

Children/Family activities

The museum is one of the most visited by school groups so it's very popular with young children. 'Fly Kids' is a flight simulator most suitable for kids aged 2-5 where they can experience the sights and sounds of flying with Red Arrows during one of their aerobatic displays. There is also 'Red Arrows 3D' for the older kids which costs £5. The Garden is a fun and exciting space for children aged 3 to 6 where they can explore concepts like sinking, floating, shadows and reflections as well as developing their skills to test, predict and observe. Here, the whole family can discover science through interaction with each other.

Food/Drink

The museum has range of Cafes and restaurants to sit down and have a quick bite or enjoy a nice meal with the family. Enjoy a lovely lunch at The Diner or have a nice hot drink like tea or coffee at the Basement Cafe. There's also the Shake Bar which has a range of delicious treats like milkshakes and ice creams which kids will love!
