Hyde Park

Hyde Park is a part of London's eight Royal Parks. It is a very popular park in Central London and covers 350 acres. There is a meadow, a large lake, beautiful ornamental flower gardens and a large lake. You can do endless things in Hyde Park such as boating, horse-riding and playing a range of sports such as tennis. It is an extremely popular spot for cycling and skating. Hyde Park hosts a variety of events such as concerts and festivals during Summer and Ice Skating during the Winter.

The Rose Garden: Hyde Park's Rose Garden is a wonderful sensory experience. It is located in the South East of the park and was opened in 1994.

Boating on the Serpentine: Hyde Park offers the fabulous opportunity to ride rowing and pedal boats with friends and family on the Serpentine. There is also the Solarshuttle which is the UK's largest and most advanced solar boat that carries 42 passengers.

Diana Memorial Fountain: The Diana Memorial Fountain was opened by Queen Elizabeth and is located in the South East of Hyde Park. It is dedicated to the late Princess Diana and is a symbol of her spirit and her love of children. Sit by the fountain and relax on the grass. There is a path accessible to wheelchair users. No dogs are allowed in the area of the memorial except for registered guide dogs. The area is supervised and visitors are not allowed to walk on the Memorial.

Playgrounds

The South Carriage Drive Playground is a fun place for children up to age 12 to enjoy the range of features it has like climbing frames, swings and a slide. Gaze at lovely views such as the Serpentine, sports fields and lakes. Children can explore the hidden tunnels and paths and go on a mini adventure in this recently refurbished playground which can be found on the southern boundary of Hyde Park. If you're hungry, grad a bite at the catering kiosk which is located nearby.

Food & Drink

The recently refurbished Lido Cafe & Bar offers a stunning view of the Serpentine with indoor and outdoor seating. The Serpentine Bar & Kitchen is the perfect spot with views of the Serpentine lake. Sit back and start your day with a tasty porridge or French toast.

Getting there

You can get to Hyde Park easily by public transport and visit the TFL (Transport for London) website to plan your journey easily. Car parking facilities are available however it is advised to avoid travelling by car since there are limited spaces. The postcode is W2 2UH which you can use to help you to get there using a map or GPS device, however the park covers a large area so the postcode is provided only as a guide.
